Tell us how you first met? who what when where why? give us the dirty details.
We first met in 2005 while working for a country artist. We had a bit of a unique beginning because when you are on a tour bus, you basically end up becoming roommates with the 10 other people on the bus. 🙂 Tim and I became friends and after several months of knowing each other, we went out on our first date.
When did you know he/she was the one?
From our first kiss, we knew there was magic. Neither one of us had experienced anything like what we felt together.
Tell us about the proposal.
Katie’s story
First of all, I had no idea. Tim and I talked about getting married a couple of years ago but for one reason or another, we kept putting it off. We joked that if we made it to the 7 year mark and if the law still existed, we would be common law. On the night Tim proposed, we were at home, getting ready to go out to dinner and we started reminiscing about our relationship. All of the things we’ve experienced together from our first dates to buying our home, to getting our dog, etc. I was still trying to decide what to wear and Tim suggested a little white dress that I had recently purchased. I was in the process of trying it on to ask Tim’s opinion and when I walked out, he was down on his knee with a beautiful ring. He told me the first best decision he ever made in his life was kissing me for the first time and the second was asking ” Katie will you marry me”? I was overwhelmed and asked are you serious.. then of course I said YES and started crying! 🙂 He told me the center diamond in my ring was his great grandmothers engagement ring from 1918.
Besides getting married – whats the one thing you are looking forward to on your wedding day?
We are looking forward to our families spending time together and becoming one big family! Everyone already knows everyone but we’ve not all been in the same place at the same time.
