//Tell us how you first met? who what when where why? give us the dirty details.

Joe and Lindsay met when Lindsay was home from college for Thanksgiving break. A mutual friend invited Lindsay to go with her to a friend’s (Joe’s) house to hang out for  the evening. Lindsay and Joe were introduced to each other at the beginning of the evening and kept circling back to one another throughout the night. Joe ended up driving Lindsay home that night, walked her to the front door and they shared their first kiss.

//When did you know he/she was the one? Was there something he/she did?, etc.

Lindsay knew Joe was the one for her when she was driving back to college after being home for Christmas wondering when she would see Joe again. She called her mom crying, telling her she did not want to go back. The very next weekend Lindsay came back home so she could be with Joe again.

Joe knew Lindsay was the one for him when he found out they were  going to have a child together. He was so happy to share the love he and Lindsay had with one another with their child.

//Tell us about the proposal. (Did you see it coming, how long was it in the planning?, how did you feel? nervous, excited, freaking out?)

Joe, Lindsay and the girls were on vacation at Big Cedar with Lindsay’s parent last September when Joe popped the question. Cindy and Dick had taken Brooke down to the pool so Lindsay and Joe could put Avery down for a nap. Lindsay was laying down with Avery in the bedroom trying to get her to fall asleep, but Joe kept coming in to check the status. After the third interruption and Avery still not sleeping, Joe asked that Lindsay come out to the family room so he could talk to her. Lindsay went to the family room, but was a little nervous. Joe had a very serious look on his faced and asked that Lindsay sit down on the coach. Joe started reflecting on their relation and how much he loved Lindsay. Eventually, Joe reached into his pocket, pulled out the ring and asked Lindsay if she would be Lindsay Kay Reeder. After Lindsay stopped crying, she finally said yes! Needless to say, Avery did not take a nap that day.

Joe ended up going to the pool area where Cindy, Dick and Brooke were swimming. Cindy and Dick were sitting  at a table watching Brooke play in the water when Joe walked in. Joe sat down at the table and asked Cindy and Dick what they would think if he asked Lindsay to marry him. At first there was silence as they were both shocked, but eventually started hugging Joe and giving him high 5’s! In the meantime, Brooke is in the pool watching all this commotion happening, but not having any idea what was going on. The four of them finally made it back to the cabin where Lindsay and Avery were anxiously awaiting their arrival. Cindy came in and gave Lindsay a big hug and Dick walked in with a big smile on his face, and Brooke walked in asking, “what is going on?” Lindsay held up her hand to show Brooke the ring. Brooke turned to Joe and said “finally!”

//Tell is the one thing you love most about each other.

Lindsay loves that she can count on Joe in her moments of weakness. She knows he will also be there to protect her and help her though challenging times. She also loves the fact that Joe’s loves to cook as this in not one of her favorite things to do.

Joe loves that Lindsay blessed him with 2 daughters. Lindsay is an amazing mother and Joe is truly grateful for all she does.

//If you feel comfortable, share with us something silly or quirky  the other person does.

Joe has conversations with himself all the time – to the point of him laughing and making gestures as if he was actually talking to someone.

//Besides getting married – whats the one thing you are looking forward to on your wedding day?

We both look forward to seeing our daughters walk down the aisle in their beautiful gowns and sharing our special day with them.
