Tell us how you first met? who what when where why? give us the dirty details. Jason and I met while working at Schnucks when we were both in high school.

When did you know he/she was the one? Was there something he/she did?, etc.

We’ve been through so much together. We figured out what we both want to do in life, college, moving out of our parents house, graduating college, getting our first big jobs, buying our first cars, the list goes on and on. These things were exciting, stressful, and sometimes challenging. But, we stuck with each other through and through. There was never any question about who else I’d want to be with. We’ve tackled everything together and I wouldn’t want to do it with anyone else.

I am a very indecisive person. Ashley has always been there to help me make decisions in life and I don’t trust anyone more than her to be there for me through the thick and thin. I know I can count on her to always shed light on any situation, and bring me back down to earth when I think I can do something that is pretty much impossible. (i.e. negotiating the price of a car down to $0.00) We will always be there for each other to help and ultimately achieve what our goals are. We are two very different people, but we both agree on one thing: We found the person that we want to be with for the rest of our lives and wouldn’t change a thing about each other.

Tell us about the proposal. (Did you see it coming, how long was it in the planning?, how did you feel? nervous, excited, freaking out?)

I saw the proposal coming and while I tried to keep it a surprise, I think Ashley may have thought it was coming as well. We have taken a few trips Hermann, Missouri which is full of vineyards and breweries and gives off a German atmosphere. I told Ashley that I wanted to celebrate my 25th birthday with just her away from everyone so I planned a weekend trip to Hermann. That was probably Ashley’s first hint, since I never plan anything. We stayed at a Bed and Breakfast, and after breakfast the first morning I told Ashley that I was cold, and that we needed to go to the cottage so I could get my jacket. She was a little frustrated, because we had already gotten a late start, and she just wanted to get on with the day. We went up to our cottage and I got my jacket and the ring. When we left, we went to a small garden area looking over the river and the tree line. (Fall is Ashley’s favorite season and the leaves were gorgeous). I looked at Ashley, got down on one knee, and asked her if she would spend the rest of her life with me. She claims that she said yes, but to this day, I still don’t think she gave me an answer. At that point, we just grabbed a bottle of wine, or two, and sat in that garden where I proposed and talked about our future together. It was one of the best conversations of my entire life. We could not stop smiling and coming up with new things to do for our future.

Tell is the one thing you love most about each other.

Jason’s goofiness. I could be having the worst day ever and I come home and he makes me laugh.

Ashley’s drive to achieve. Ashley does everything to the best of her ability, no matter how trivial. While this does add a lot of stress to her life, I hope to see it as opportunities for me to help in her success. She makes me want to work harder!!

If you feel comfortable, share with us something silly or quirky the other person does.

Dancing, flexing, making faces all in the mirror ,,, sorry Jason!

I love when Ashley Randomly skips around the house for no reason. She truly looks joyful and it always make me smile.

Besides getting married – whats the one thing you are looking forward to on your wedding day?

Celebrating with everyone we love. We have a lot of family and friends coming from out of town and it really means so much to us, to have them there to share the memories with.
