What an awesome wedding! One of my favorite touches on the day were the custom wooden flower for the bridal party. It was a great way to add a personal touch to the day. This day started out with a little bit of panic because of the protests going on downtown St Louis. This threw a little bit of a wrench into where Chelsie and Alex wanted to get their creative pictures done. Turns out this was a non-issue on the day. We found some cool urban scenes nearby and crisis averted. :)

The day went smooth as could be. It's always refreshing to see two families coming together where everyone loves each other and they are excited for the future together.

Congrats you two! Thanks for including us in your big day!

What an incredible day this was. Ely and Sarah were amazing to work with and their day was filled with tons of little personal touches making the day that much more special for their friends and family. We were lucky enough to be part of documenting this incredible wedding, but beyond documenting it, their friends and family truly made us feel like part of the family.

As many photographers know, it's so important to connect with your clients and immerse yourself into the group. I knew this was no ordinary wedding when I had the family make silly faces for the camera and everyone including mom got in on the action. I knew I was with "my people". :)

Congratulations to Ely and Sarah! And thank you so much for choosing us to document your big day. What an incredible day.

PRESS RELEASE: Sal Cincotta makes Inc 5000 list 3 years in a row.

Sounds crazy, but Salvatore Cincotta Photography, owned and operated by Sal Cincotta, has made the Inc 5000 Fastest Growing Companies in America for the 3rd year in a row. This is a huge accomplishment and signals that the company is continuing to grow after 10 years and will continue to be a leader in the St Louis Wedding and Portrait photography market.

Why is this so important?

While this doesn't directly impact your photography, it is extremely important to know that the company you choose for your wedding photography will be around and is committed to running a successful business.

Sal says, "We love our clients. We love creating art work from their wedding. The last 10 years has been an incredible journey and I can't wait to see what the next 10 years holds for our studio."

When asked, what does the future hold?

"We will continue to push the limits for our clients. We believe couples should demand the very best in wedding photography because you only get one chance. People will forget the food, they will forget the dj, or even the dried chicken, but they can never forget bad wedding photography."

Tell us how you first met? who what when where why? give us the dirty details.
We first met through mutual friends at the Lake of the Ozarks on Memorial Day weekend in 2009, continuing to run into each other for months until one night someone bet us a shot to kiss at McGurks in Soulard. The rest is history!

Tell us about the proposal.
After SIX N HALF YEARS it was long over due. He surprised his bride at home one morning before she left for work. He had arranged for her to have the day off, wherein they went to the zoo, had lunch, met with family and then ended the night at their favorite bar at their favorite high top table.

Tell is the one thing you love most about each other.
Mande loves his unwavering devotion for her and their relationship, as well as honesty.  David loves her loyalty, smile and her ability to always make him laugh.

When did you know he/she was the one?
I knew steph was the one before our second anniversary of dating. I remember seeing her interact with my family and nephews at a family gathering one time and telling myself i love her. thats when i knew she was the one.- mario

Tell us about the proposal.
I don't know if Steph saw it coming... I'm sure i was acting weird cuz i was nervous. I wanted everything to be perfect. Proposal probably took about 2 almost 3 months to plan. first step was getting her families blessing. I made Steph believe i was going to San Diego to a work convention for the weekend. What really did is take take the red eye that Friday Night. I flew to Chicago, then St. Louis then got in a car a drove out to her Brother Andrew then her mom and brother who were out camping that weekend. Surprised her with the ring asked for her blessing then i was off to surprise her grandparents. Got back on a plane to Phoenix and back to LA. all in 36 hours and made it seem i was in San Diego. The actual proposal came about a month later. i contacted the hollywood bowl in LA and planned to do it there. on Nov. 21st steph thought she was on her way to do make up for a shoot for a NatGeo Wild episode of Ceaser 911. Little did she know there was no shoot and it was a proposal that was about to happen. When she arrived she recieved instruction to pull on her car visor which led to a note with a hollywood bowl event ticket. "The rest of our lives" she arrived to an empty bowl with just a chair and a balloon. there she found an iPad with headphones with instructionsto press play. The video that played was of my journey to St. Louis to get her families blessing. while she watch the video with her back to the bowl i got up and stood right on center stage and waited. it was the longest 6 minutes of my life. Felt like 30 minutes. Video ended with a simple text "Turn around" and there i was waiting with rose pedals all over. she made her way to the stage and once she was up there with me i gave her a hug. She was emotional and crying. i got down on one knee and proposed. she said yes. I (mario) was a nervous reck... haha. I wanted it be perfect. I had my brother streaming it live for all to see and my friend JC was on the lease shooting... capturing every moment. it was awesome.

Tell is the one thing you love most about each other.
I love that mario loves me...for who i am. unconditionally. he is patient, kind, funny, and loves my family just as much as i do.  i know thats more than one thing, but i can't just say one.- stephanie

I love everything about steph. Her smile, her beautiful eyes. But most importantly i love who she is. A strong independent woman who loves unconditionally. She is everything you can dream about in a woman and she laughs at my nonsense plus is hilarious herself. I am truly lucky.- Mario

If you feel comfortable, share with us something silly or quirkythe other person does.
mario screams "MY BABBBYYYYY" all the time haha he also has the best dance moves. but will not show anyone.- stephanie
Stephanie likes to embarrass me...all the time- mario

Besides getting married - whats the one thing you are looking forward to on your wedding day?
just being together....nothing else matters but us. and i can't wait. -stephanie
To see Steph happy. She is my world and seeing her happy is everything to me. - mario

Cold in St Louis on this day, is the understatement of the year. Even with the temperature at 7 degress, ice storms, and an inch of snow to top the night off, this St Louis Wedding was unstoppable. As wedding photographers, we have one main job, document the wedding day as best we can. Well, this day pushed our creative limits. We made use of the incredibly gorgeous St Louis Union Station, as well as, some other unique photo opportunities aroundSt Louis.

I don't think that there is anything that can prepare you for this level of cold. The bride and groom and their entire wedding party were incredible troopers as we battled the cold. In the end, it was a beautiful event for the couple and their family. the evening ended with some incredible food and a packed dance floor.

Thank you to everyone involved in making this event everything it was.
